Mother's Day Love and Joy Clair

Today I am using a set from Joy Clair called, "Mother's Day Love".

I decided to make some cute tags for just about any occasion. I colored each tag with Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils.

I used some regular tags and stamped them with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.

Then I colored each with the Leisure Arts Colored Pencils and did some easy shading.

After I colored them all I used a little bit of some glitter pen to add some sparkle to them.

I added some colored bakers twine to each tag and I was done!

Easy project and great to have on hand when you need a tag for a gift.

Hope you give them a try!

Happy Crafting!!

Joy Clair and Christmas in July

I am excited to get going on some Christmas cards!! Yep, time to start working on your Christmas cards so you won't be stressed out come December!!
This set has become one of my favorite Christmas sets! I think you will agree with me.
It is Joy Clair's, "3D Christmas Poinsettia".

I stamped the panel with some of the smaller poinsettias with some VersaFine Clair Nocturne. I colored them with Leisure Arts Premium Colored pencils. I did some shading with the light and dark color of each pencils. I cut the panel and mounted it on some black cardstock and set it aside to work on the card base.

I used a regular A2 card and cut another white panel 1/4 inch smaller for my card front. I positioned the panel on it without tape so I can see where to add my other panels and stamping.

Next, I stamped the large, medium and small poinsettia onto red cardstock and colored them with pencils to add shading. I fussy cut out each flower and layered them together. I bent the petals to make them more 3D and attached a brad to the center to keep them secure.

I then stamped the leaves on some green cardstock and also added some shading with colored pencils, cut them out and rolled them a bit for a more realistic look.

I added the flower to a square white cardstock panel and then mounted it onto a black mat. I set this on my card to see where I want to add my sentiment stamp.

I stamp my sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and then tie a red ribbon around the white panel. The white panel is added to the card base and then I add the other 2 panels with some foam adhesive.

To add a little bling, I added some jewels to the end of my "Joy" sentiment stamping.

If you are like me and you like lots of "BLING" add some glitter pen to your 3D flower and the poinsettia on the colored panel.

Thank you for joining me for my Christmas in July card. I hope you like it and give it a try for yourself.

Miss Kate Cuttables and Christmas in July

Today I have a Christmas in July project! It is never too early to start your Christmas card stash!

Before we start, don't forget to get your Freebie over at Miss Kate Cuttables.

I chose this cutie to do my card with. There are many snow globe images at Miss Kate Cuttables so choose one you like. Then cut out your design. I used my Cameo 3. I arranged my pieces on one mat to reduce the cutting time.

I took the main image of the snow globe and copied it and then welded it together to make the card base you see on the left.

I assembled the snowman and globe and glued it to the card base and I was done! It is an easy card to produce many for your Christmas card needs. The only thing I added was some glitter pen to the body to make it more "snow like". I also put a few orange lines on the nose for the carrot. Other then that, it is just cut, glue and you are done!

I hope you try making some snow globe cards for your Christmas card sending! They are quick and ADORABLE!! There will be a smile on the recipients face for sure!

Joy Clair and the New Release

Hi! I'm here with today's blog post using the new release stamp set called, "The Potter" and also some stamps from the new set called, "Born To Sparkle".  Both of these sets are from the Joy Clair release. You can check out the whole release HERE!

Clay open book

First off, pick where you would like to use the stamp set. I chose Isaiah 64:8 but you can also use Corinthians 4:7. They both are referenced with the sentiments in the set.

Stamp with your favorite inks. I chose VersaFine Clair Nocturne. It does bleed through the paper but I plan on doing some other imaging on the back of my page with some layering so it will cover up my bleed thru. You can chose inks that do not bleed as much.

After I stamped all my images I colored them all using my Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils.

I tried to shade as much as possible to add some depth to my coloring. I do this by using 2 shades of each color. I use a light and a dark to add in the shading and highlighting.

I also did some "doodling" by writing the word "Clay" in large letters over the bible verses and coloring it with some browns. I then added some of the verses around the letters with a very fine black marker. To add some more interest, I used a glitter pen over the whole word, "Clay".

When I was done I added in some other doodling and some fun stamping with my stamp set, "Born To Sparkle". I used the tiny sparkles in yellow and orange. I think they add some fun twinkling!
The colored pencils are also fun for drawing. I drew in some vines and added some spiral roses to separate all the sections and add interest.

I hope you like my Bible page!! Have fun creating your own Bible pages!!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!!

Holiday Tattoo Project with Miss Kate Cuttables

Today is a fun tattoo project with Miss Kate Cuttables!!

But first, don't forget to get the FREEBIE over at Miss Kate Cuttables!!

Pick your favorite designs from Miss Kate Cuttables. I chose some great Americana items for the 4th of July. I chose some fireworks and some titles.

I aligned them onto my Silhouette program's mat and set my printer up for Print and Cut. If you don't have a cutting machine, that is okay!! This is a project you can use just a colored printer and some specialty paper.

I chose some Ink Jet Body Art Stickers. I didn't use traditional tattoo paper because of allergies to ink. But, if you want to create some regular tattoos then get the correct paper for your printer.

As long as you are printing, add some other holidays to your mat and cut them at the same time. I did some Halloween items too! Miss Kate Cuttables has the best Halloween designs!

Just print out your designs and apply to skin!

Cut them out and apply them to your skin.

It is that easy. Kids LOVE tattoos and these kind are not permanent so even adults can use them!!

Have fun with this technique that people have forgotten about!!

Thanks!

Joy Clair Challenge for July

I have a fun interactive card for this month's Joy Clair Challenge. Check out the picture below, what does it inspire you to create? Keep reading for my interpretation.

http://joyclair.typepad.com/blog/2018/07/july-challenge-anything-goes-1.html

Here is the card I came up with after viewing the images above.

I used the stamp sets, "Inspirational Arrows" and "Light House" from the new release. I made the "Be fearless" arrow a spinner by adding a brad to the center of the arrow and it spins around to mimic the arrow on a compass.

The card is very easy to make. I stamped out the boat from "Light House" and colored it with Leisure Arts Premium colored pencils. Then "fussy cut" or cut it out with my scissors. I set that aside and worked on the card base.

I took some navy blue paper and made my card base. This is an A2 card size. I then layered it with some navy decorative paper. (I like this paper because it reminded me of a fishing net.) I then went to my trusty Cameo 3 by Silhouette and cut out my compass rose and letters to mark the directions. I glued it down to my card and moved on to my arrow. It is simply just stamped on white paper and cut around with scissors. I left a tiny bit of room where I decided to put my brad so the spinner could work. After adding all that to the card, I added some foam adhesive squares to the back of my boat and I was done!!

Here is another view of my card, YEP....I added some cute dots to the corner with some dimensional paint BUT......I stuck my finger them before they were dry so that had to be edited out. So, if you can keep your fingers off your project for a few hours, go ahead and add some embellishments to the corner of your card.....or not....

Thanks for joining me today for my version of the Joy Clair Challenge for July.  Don't forget to subscribe to my blog so you can get all the updates and posts when they post automatically!!

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time.....Happy Crafting!!
